The CCC Aquaculture Technology Program is located in the

We were a participant with the NC Oyster hatchery program. For
that we set up an oyster hatchery and produced 8 million eyed-larvae oysters for
planting on pubic oyster sanctuaries; the first time that was ever done!
Students participated by producing oyster larvae as a part of
their lab practicum experience. We now operate the hatchery to train students
in shellfish aquaculture production.

Other
completed projects are the Donax aquaculture
enhancement project, the FRG “restaurants for restoration” oyster shell
recycling project…

… a water
recycling Aquaponics project and the NC

… to set up
and conduct independent studies
with
species of particular interest to them. They also …

…
promote the program and teach youngsters about phytoplankton at the
NC Seafood
Festival booth.

We are
accepting new students for college curriculum courses
and hands-on lab practicums. Call us today and come see our new “digs”!!!
