The CCC Aquaculture Technology Program
is located in the


We are a participant with the NC
Aquarium Oyster hatchery initiative. Our role is to assist the transitional
production program. Production goals for 2007 are 20 million eyed-larvae
oysters. Students will participate by producing oyster larvae as a part of
their lab practicum experience.


Other completed projects are the Donax
aquaculture enhancement project, the FRG “restaurants for restoration” oyster
shell recycling project…..


… a water recycling Aquaponics project
and the NC Rural Center marine biotechnology economic incentive project.


Students use the facility to set up and
conduct independent studies
with species of
particular interest to them.


Students promote the program and teach
youngsters about phytoplankton at the
NC Seafood Festival booth


We are accepting new students for
college curriculum courses
and hands-on lab
practicums.
